The constant need to move her legs and creepy-crawly sensation was keeping her awake at night and affecting her daily activities. \u201cI went to different doctors,\u201d Zelda says, \u201cBut they told me there was nothing they could do.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>When You Can&#8217;t Sit Still<\/h2>\n<p>Zelda\u2019s RLS symptoms didn\u2019t just flare up at night, she was having a hard time getting through her daily activities as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t go to church anymore. I couldn\u2019t go to a movie, or sit down to crotchet or even eat a meal.\u201d Zelda says. She tried taking a medicine called Tramadol, but most of the time, it didn\u2019t help. She eventually tried spraying Icy Hot on her legs just to dull the pain.<\/p>\n<h2>Finally, An Answer Online<\/h2>\n<p>The constant need to get up and pace was taking a toll on Zelda. \u201cI couldn\u2019t stay still, and I couldn\u2019t get any relief,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, one day, her daughter got online to look for answers, found Dr. James Anderson, DPM, and made an appointment.<\/p>\n<h2>RLS Non-Surgical Treatment<\/h2>\n<p>Zelda met with the <a href=\"\/about\/#our-doctors\">Dr. Anderson<\/a>, and he recommended a combination of ESTIM and MLS laser treatment. Dr. Anderson says, \u201cThis was a great option for Zelda because she was able to avoid surgery, and get the relief that she was looking for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ESTIM is an electrical stimulation treatment. \u201cWe use this to send various pulse waves into the leg, and it can stimulate the nerves to want to repair themselves,\u201d Dr. Anderson explains.<\/p>\n<p>The MLS laser works more on the cellular level. Dr. Anderson says, \u201cThe mitochondria is the \u201cenergy-creating\u201d part of your cells. The laser works by targeting the mitochondria specifically in the nerve cells to help repair the <a href=\"https:\/\/websitetest19.striveenterprisetest.com\/2021\/12\/14\/five-stages-of-peripheral-neuropathy-cure-nerve-damage\/\">damaged nerve tissue<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>All the Difference<\/h2>\n<p>For Zelda, this treatment made all the difference. Before she even finished her treatment, she was reporting 90-95% improvement in her symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, I can sit. I can eat, and I don\u2019t have any pain. I\u2019m sleeping through the night, and the jittery feeling is gone,\u201d she says. Zelda is back to the activities she loves. She can crotchet, go to the movies, and go to church. Her advice for others experiencing RLS symptoms is this.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust make an appointment because there is no one else out there doing this. Even if it only helps 75%, it\u2019s worth it.
